MacDonald Butchers in Pitlochry
Scottish Pie Club World Championships.
In the 2012 Scottish Pie Club Championships, 86 businesses from as far afield as Bolton and Invergordon entered products for evaluation and judging. A panel of 20 industry experts and interested foodies tackle the massive task of munching their way through over 400 savoury products.
MacDonald Butchers of Pitlochry also entered a number of products and came away with two top awards.
Diamond is the top award for each catagory (there is only one Diamond awarded for each catagory):-
- MacDonald Bros Butchers Sausage Rolls - 2011 & 2012
- MacDonald Bros Butchers Venison, Port & Pickled Walnut Pie - 2012
Gold is awarded to the runners up who were in contention for the Diamond Award.
