On Friday there are Horse and Pony classes for children of all ages - from 4 to 64! The fun begins at 9.00am with the slightly more serious show classes, then the working hunter classes and after lunch time, the fancy dress on horseback and rounding off the Friday at the The Atholl & Breadalbane Agricultural Show and Highland Gathering with the mounted horseback games.

09.00                 Judging of Cattle, Sheep, Highland Pony and Clydesdale Horse classes

11.00                 Highland Dancing competition confined to Perthshire

12.00                 Confined Heavyweight Events -Highland Safaris sponsored Perthshire League

12.30                 Vintage Tractor Display & Judging

13.00                 Judging of Champion of Champions Solo Piping Events commence.

13.15               Parade of Horses

13.30               Open Highland Dancing; Open Heavy Weight Events & Wrestling commence.

13.40                 Coupar Angus Pipe Band leads Games Chieftain and Clan Menzies around the arena.

13.45                Gathering declared open by Chieftain Mr Athel Price of Bolfracks Estate.  Long Service Awards presented.

14.00                 Children's Races commence.

14.25                 Running Event - 3 lap race (approx. ½ mile)

14.30                 Coupar Angus Pipe Band play outside Flower Tent

14.45                 Riders of the Storm - Stunt Riding Display Team

15.00                 Weem Hill Race

15.15                 Tug o' War Heats

15.30                 Carrying of Menzies Stone

15.30                 Coupar Angus Pipe Band

15.45                 Terrier Race

16.15                 Tug o' War Final

The Atholl & Breadalbane Agricultural Show and Highland Gathering is in a beautiful setting, right beside the historic Wade's Bridge and the River Tay is surrounded by fantastic views to Weem Rock to the north and the hills of Glen Lyon to the west.
