The Scottish Crannog Centre, Kenmore on Loch Tay

the-crannog.jpgThe Scottish Crannog Centrecrannog-causeway.jpg was built as a result of underwater discoveries dating back 2,500 years. It is a living experiment, that has a 'Gold Award' for best practice in environmental management and is a 5 star visitor and educational centre.

You can see some of the underwater discoveries in the Scottish Crannog Centre exhibition; walk over water into the Iron Age on the crannog tour, and test your skills at ancient crafts and technology. Learn about a Crannog.

Special regular events at the Scottish Crannog Centre, featuring artists, musicians, skilled craft workers and other specialists who, together with the team of Iron Age guides, actively bring the past to life. Also a small, light and healthy refreshments snack bar.

Opening times for the Scottish Crannog centre:
2017 are:  01 April - 30 October.  Open daily  from 10.00 - 5.30pm.  31 October from 10.00 - 4.30pm.
In all cases, last tour is one hour before closing. Admission charge.
* Sorry, no dogs except guide dogs.
