Autumn in Pitlochry

DSCF1409.jpgDSCF0094.jpgAutumn is special time of the year, when the summer draws to a close the leaves of the trees change colour before they fall off ready for the cold winters nights. Pitlochry has a special place in Autumn, just take a walk around the town to the Dam and Fish Ladder (a popular circular walk from Pitlochry's main street) and you will see autumnal colours reflecting off Loch Faskally's still waters.

Pitlochry in Autumn also has a number of events, well worth seeing:-

The Enchanted Forest over the last 17 nights of October and in to November each year. The Enchanted Forest attracts some 20,000 plus visitors to Pitlochry each autumn. The Enchanted Forest light show has a different theme each year all taking place in the woods just ourtside Pitlochry around a small Loch.

AuDSCF3976.jpgtumn in Pitlochry also see the DSCF4225.jpgPitlochry Autumn Festival which runs along side the Enchanted Forest when the town puts on a number of activities in the long evenings from Story Telling in Mongolia Yurt, to Ghost Tours of Pitlochry haunted past (very popular).

There is also Perthshire Amber the Dopugie MacLean Concerts that run for ten days at the every end of October and in to November each year. While these concerts are run in Pitlochry in Autumn they are also held at venues right across Highland Perthshire and in Perth too.
