Atholl Estates Rangers Information Centre -
for those planning out door activties.
Those of you who are interested in the outdoors and
would like some excellent information on the area, its wildlife,
the walk and cycle routes, red squirrels, should visit the
Atholl Estates Rangers Information
Centre in the centre of Blair Atholl village.
The Atholl Estates Rangers are part funded by the
Estate, and by Scottish Natural Heritage .
The Atholl Estates Rangers operate all year round, with one
full-time ranger and 2 seasonal rangers. They assist visitors in
their understanding and enjoyment of the area, and manage 9
waymarked trails for walkers and cyclists on the estate.
The Atholl Estates Information Centre was fully refurbished in
2011 with an opening in August 2011. It is located in Blair Atholl
village, opposite the entrance to the Blair Castle Caravan
Park, next to the Atholl Country Life Museum and 'Food in the Park'
(Cafe, Fish and Chips and Pizza Restaurant).
The Information Centre has a number of features, which
include displays on the workings of the estate and offers some
activities for children. There is also information on what to do in
the area, making the Centre a helpful reference point if you are
planning any outdoor activities.
The centre is open from 9.00am to 4.45pm daily, between Easter
and October.
