Red Brolly Launched

85% of all produce used is locally and sustainably sourced
The recently opened Red Brolly Inn at Ballinluig has revealed that it is championing local Highland Perthshire produce with as much as 85% of all ingredients for its range of breakfasts, lunches and dinners to be locally and sustainably sourced.
"It was really important to us to source a number of suppliers here in Highland Perthshire, " said Joseph Newbold, the new manager of the Red Brolly Inn. "This area really is top class as there is so much locally available within a short distance which is of fantastic quality."
"For example we are using Tower Bakery bread in our sandwiches and we have a delicious scotch beef pie on the menu which contains Lia Fail ale from Inveralmond Brewery," he said.
"We are offering a menu which we believe will please everyone with dishes such as every popular fish and chips, rib eye steak, salmon with lemon tarragon hollandaise, seafood broth, homemade beef burger and delicious desserts including crème brulee, fruit cobbler and our own signature Red Brolly Strawberry Sundae."
With the unsettled Scottish Summer weather continuing, Joe and his team also said they were happy to give away red brollies to customers.
"They are our now our trademark and we have gone through quite a lot of them since opening," he said. "Residents at the Logierait Lodges nearby, which is also operated by Fusion our parent company, can easily walk here for a snack or a meal - it's a green way to travel - and we are happy to provide them or any other guests on foot with brollies in case there is a shower!"
The Red Brolly Inn, which offers a cosy eight bedroom hotel; all day restaurant; coffee lounge and family friendly bar, opened in mid May, creating fifteen new jobs.
