Bothy Bar at the Atholl Arms Hot

Atholl, is 'pub' character bar near Blair Castle. Timber
surrounds and overhead beams with an open wood fire to warm
you up the cold winter days.
The Bothy Bar meals are served all day along with a sellection
of local real ales. There is an outside Beer Garden, where you can
sit and enjoy the summer sunshine.
The Atholl Arms Hotel and Bothy Bar was built and once
owned by the Dukes and Earls of Atholl. To go to the bothy
bar, locals passed under a White Horse (now in the safe possesion
of Atholl Country Life Museum). The 'white horse' as on top of the
stone arch that lead in to the coach cou
rtyard (where the
coaches used to enter the hotel in days gone by). There was an
expression the
locals' used when
ever they visited the Bothy Bar and that was they
had "passed under the White Horse".
The Blair Atholl Bothy Bar is located in the centre of
Blair Atholl village, adjoining the Atholl Arms Hotel, locals and
visitors alike un-wind and swop tall-tales in cosy, informal
surroundings, where food is available all day
