Highland Perthshire from the south by road or by train, a dramatic change is noticeable in the landscape, with high mountains, deep glens and an abundance of trees. The main A9 trunk road connecting central Scotland to the north of Scotland passes the towns of Dunkeld, Pitlochry and Blair Atholl.
